Control app updates

Settings, then Updates & version pinning, controls how the Northbeams desktop app stays current.

Your options

• Auto-update (default). The app keeps itself up to date, so every device runs the latest detections and fixes without anyone lifting a finger.
• Version pinning. For a controlled fleet, pin a specific version so updates roll out on your schedule, after you have tested them, instead of automatically.

Most teams leave auto-update on. Pinning is there for regulated or change-controlled environments that need to approve every version. Pair it with MDM when you manage many devices, see Roll out to your whole fleet.
